To me it sounds like Mary was trying to hold on to Jesus in the hope that she too may be saved and transfigured, and Jesus is saying, "I'm not leaving yet! And it's still night, it hasn't been 3 days, the Temple of Soul/Body has been torn down but now it needs to be rebuilt into the Temple of Spirit, and to begin that task I gotta go to the Father first. And I'm not leaving yet so let go of me, and it's not your time to leave anyway because I need you to let my brothers know I will be leaving to the Father. It makes sense that if you touch a pure spirit-being, your physical being could also be transmuted into spirit being. If Spirit is pure Light, this electric energy is greater than any human-harvested electricity (which is a mere image of the source) - and electricity has been found to be able to separate the O (the breath of God) from the H2O (which is what we're mostly made up of)... then perhaps Jesus was warning Mary not to touch him just because it wasn't yet her time to die?

That's a good point with the body being polluted by the touch. I would think that they'd probably argue post-resurrection since when He went to the grave He died taking the iniquities of sinners but He was raised justified.

IF we were to hold to the KJV's "don't touch me" the logical conclusion would have to be Christ needed to be re-crucified...if the sacrifice God provided "His SON" was somehow tainted by human touch, then what about those who carried him to the tomb, etc., not just Thomas. Okay, so then we narrow down to only post-resurrection touches? I have been guilty of over-spiritualising this text in the past (and have enjoyed some of Tommy Tenney's teaching on it) but I always had a problem accepting what is not boldly placed in front of me.ÂÂ
