Once more we have remembered Him,
\nOur Lord who loves us so.
\nHis cruel death upon that cross.
\nHis pain we’ll never know.<\/p>\n
\nThis time we spend together here
\nIn worship and in praise,
\nIs time spent in rehearsal for
\nThose never ending days.<\/p>\n
This feast is just a shadow of
\nThe blessings we will share
\nWhen Christ returns to take us home
\nWe’ll meet Him in the air.<\/p>\n
We’ll view those cruel nail prints and
\nThe spear wound in His side.
\nReminders of His matchless love,
\nFor us, our Saviour died.<\/p>\n
We will not see the crown of thorns
\nThat pierced His blessed brow.
\nInstead we’ll see a crown of gold.
\nHe reigns in glory now.<\/p>\n
Each time we have this privilege
\nThat we have had today,
\nRemember that it won’t be long
\nTill that unclouded day.<\/p>\n
What will it be to dwell with Him
\nAnd gaze upon His face,
\nTo join that heavenly choir above
\nAnd sing “Amazing Grace”?<\/p>\n
Let us watch now for His coming.
\nLet’s live for Him each day.
\nWith lamps all trimmed and shining bright.
\nPerhaps He’ll come today.<\/p>\n
