<\/span>took advantage of the Law
\nthat said \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Don’t do this or else\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and started making me to want exactly that.
\nSee, without the Law saying \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Don’t Do this specific Wrong\u00e2\u20ac\u009d that specific wrong
\nwould’ve just been your average, everyday, boring wrongness. But then when I
\nsee it printed out\u00e2\u20ac\u201dnot to do this specific wrong\u00e2\u20ac\u201dit became extra enticing.<\/p>\n You could say that I was okay once, before anyone explained
\nto me exactly what I was doing was wrong. But then came the Law and sin became
\nmotivated. These commands which were to tell me how to live wound up being the
\nmeans to my death because sin was taking advantage of them, while lying to me
\nand effectively killing me.<\/p>\n
So then, No—the Law isn’t sin and they aren’t equal. Both
\nthe Law and the commandments are holy, perfect, and good.<\/p>\n
You might be wondering if the Law (which is good) become the
\ncause of death for me? I mean, I just said that it was the means: but was it
\nthe cause? No, of course not! But once again, it was that whole principle of
\nWrongness–Sin. Evil Sin killed me through the Good commandments of the Law and
\nin so doing it proved itself to be completely wrong and Evil: the antithesis of
\nwhat the Law is. So in fact, the Law is spiritual but me\u00e2\u20ac\u201dI’m flesh sold into
\nbondage to that principle of Wrongness.<\/p>\n
I see it in my life: and I just don’t get it. I don’t do the
\nthings I would like to do\u00e2\u20ac\u201dbut I’m doing the exact things I hate. And if I do
\nthe things that I don’t want to do I mentally agree with the Law saying \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Yup,
\nit’s right. What I’m doing is wrong.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d But it’s not just me doing these things
\nbut its sin inside of me.<\/p>\n
Get this; there is nothing good inside of me\u00e2\u20ac\u201din my flesh
\nanyway. Because the desire to do good is inside of me but the actual doing good
\nisn’t. Because those good things that I want to do, I don’t do them; then I run
\noff and practice the evil things that in my mind I don’t want to do.<\/p>\n
So I discover something about myself, a rule even: evil is
\npresent in me\u00e2\u20ac\u201dthe person who wants to do good. <\/span>Two principles: A man inside agreeing with
\nGod’s Law and a different principle inside the parts of my body fighting
\nconstantly against the law of my mind and will. It makes me, the inner person
\nwho wants to do good, a prisoner to that principle of sin that is in my body
\n(that can’t do good).<\/p>\n I am so utterly disgusting\u00e2\u20ac\u201dwho will finally free me from
\nthis rotting corpse that I’m trapped in? Oh thank God, it’s God Himself through Jesus Christ that I will be finally be freed but now I know that I wrestle: on the one hand
\nmy mind is serving God’s spiritual principle but on the other hand my body keeps to the
