{"id":4820,"date":"2023-04-05T07:12:00","date_gmt":"2023-04-05T11:12:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/biblearchive.com\/blog\/?p=4820"},"modified":"2023-03-04T17:57:53","modified_gmt":"2023-03-04T22:57:53","slug":"knowing-that-god-is-a-plurality","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/biblearchive.com\/blog\/knowing-that-god-is-a-plurality\/","title":{"rendered":"Knowing that God is A Plurality"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>From the earliest chapters in Scripture, God refers to Himself in a unique way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>God\u2019s single name is written in the plural form. (Gen 1:1)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>God refers to Himself saying, \u201cLet US make man in our own image\u201d (Gen 1:26) then the text proceeds to say that God made man in His own (singular) image (Gen 1:27).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>God commissions Isaiah saying, \u201cWhom will I send? who will go for US?\u201d! (Isaiah 6:8)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Lord\u2019s anointed says He is in the beginning with God, and that He and God\u2019s Spirit are sent by the Lord God (Isaiah 48:16)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>God is, in the cases listed above acting of His own power and authority and referring to Himself at the same time as ONE and MORE-THAN-ONE. Unlike Allah, the one God of the Muslims, the Living God knows what it is to be in a relationship! Yes, he\u2019s the only God, there is none beside him, but He is not a <em>lonely<\/em> god.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course, this wasn\u2019t very clear in the Old Testament. God\u2019s self-revelation wasn\u2019t made crystal clear until later. For now, we can come to terms with this truth.\u00a0 In our loneliest and darkest moments, we can take comfort in the fact that God, making us part of His family, does not start a relationship but rahter brings us into a truly unique and eternal relationship.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From the earliest chapters in Scripture, God refers to Himself in a unique way.
