That\u2019s wonderful. The Bible describes <strong>God as the God of peace<\/strong> (1 Thes 5:23; Heb 13:20). That is not to say that He is a God OVER peace but that He himself IS the definitive model and ultimate reality of peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>God declares peace<\/strong> by the death of Jesus and justification by faith (Rom 5:1; 1 John 4:10)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>Father<\/strong>, <strong>Son<\/strong> and <strong>Holy Spirit<\/strong> together <strong>multiply peace<\/strong> in His people (1 Pet 1:2; 2 Pet 1:2)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These passages point to His peace, but Scripture is also explicit on the benefits of this amazing peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We can <strong>cast all our cares on Him<\/strong> (1 Pet 5:7)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We <strong>don\u2019t need to worry<\/strong> but rather put it all in God\u2019s hands (1 Pet 5:7)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We can <strong>bask in his secure love<\/strong> (Rom 8:38-39)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All of this reminds us that when we lean on God, we truly revel in a peace that passes all possible understanding (Phil 4:7)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>When peace like a river, attendeth my way.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>When sorrows like sea billows roll.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>It is well, it is well with my soul.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Peace is order, tranquility, secure rest, and a friendly relationship free of hostility and full of harmony.
