{"id":640,"date":"2007-09-14T12:23:14","date_gmt":"2007-09-14T17:23:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/biblearchive.com\/blog\/2007\/09\/14\/tim-challies-is-a-criminal\/"},"modified":"2007-09-14T12:23:57","modified_gmt":"2007-09-14T17:23:57","slug":"tim-challies-is-a-criminal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/biblearchive.com\/blog\/tim-challies-is-a-criminal\/","title":{"rendered":"Tim Challies is A Criminal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m way too unmotivated to be jealous of the fame of other bloggers yet I find myself turning a dark eye in the direction of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.challies.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tim Challies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Early in 2002 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblearchive.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Bible Archive<\/a> launched. Since I didn&#8217;t start full-swing posting until sometime later that year (perhaps even early the next) and really didn&#8217;t define the site as a blog until late 2003\/early 2004 I was relegated to a third-tier blog (of course, this is what I tell myself).<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Tim Challies, interestingly enough started blogging at the same time (2002). Early on he hosted a personal pictures to share with friends and family and eventually there were pithy updates like &#8220;I haven&#8217;t posted in a while&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Now, Tim manages to post everyday (currently 1414 and ticking), sometimes twice a day and recently (as in for the last year and a half) with a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.challies.com\/sideblog\/\" target=\"_blank\">quick-links sideblog<\/a>. Tim goes around to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.challies.com\/itinerary.php\" target=\"_blank\">conferences where he liveblogs<\/a>, takes ridiculously detailed notes which he almost immediately compiles to long posts (his posts often clock in at almost 1000 words which are actually thought out even if I don&#8217;t agree with him) and at the same time manages to run his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.challies.com\/design.php\" target=\"_blank\">web design business<\/a> (and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.websonix.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>). But adding insult to injury he redesigns his website once a year, manages <a href=\"http:\/\/discerningreader.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">a secondary website which is devoted to book reviews<\/a> (of which he&#8217;s posted <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/pdp\/profile\/AEYEAH3C78BBZ\/ref=cm_pdp_friends_bc_pdp_profile\/105-9344294-7809245\" target=\"_blank\">over 300<\/a> all available at Amazon as well), is married and has 3 kids. Lastly, he&#8217;s recently written a book and its coming out <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/1581349092\/ref=cm_arms_pdp_dp\/105-9344294-7809245\" target=\"_blank\">January 11, 2008<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve gotten this far, you&#8217;re probably convinced: Tim Challies is stealing Time.
