The red of roses poured out upon the fields, upon the fields drenched in the rose's blood
The violets hue all purplish blue, the blue imbued into the violet's hue
My poem is weak, without any strength, like the strong walls of Jericho, broken down as chaff
I don't know what I'm doing with this, whoever knows what I'm doing please illuminate me
Sorry for the use of horrible poetry. If you want to read real poetry, perhaps you should look in
greener pastures.
This little poem I wrote up is a very weak re-write of my original
"Roses are red" poem from the Romans post from long-long ago.
What you might notice in my poem is that although there is rhyming
it is not necessary to what I was trying to convey since it's not found
throughout.

So in the warm embers of
John 5 and 9, we might be able to come up with at least one question. In John chapter 5 the healed man was told to sin no more whereas the man in John chapter 9 was last seen worshipping the Lord as Christ. The lesson is that God does the work, the sinner must repent and it must result in sinning no more and worshipping God (we?re using these things as illustrations of course).
As a Christian of X-many years I may find myself casually saying ?Praise the Lord I am saved? and go on my way worshipping God every first day of the week?and that?s it. Is that what the Lord wants? Is that the extent of his victory and healing? We can walk, we can see and we worship the Lord, amen?

As a Christian saved some twenty something odd years, I have noticed that I would (on occasion) forget about my early days of salvation. I was saved perhaps too young (if such a thing is possible). I didn?t fall into any serious sin as some other brothers and sisters nor have I ever really had a conscious draw towards the baser life. "Too Young" because I never got the full appreciation which may be found in those to whom "much is forgiven". I have seen brothers who have led a very dark life, perhaps even to the point of being sent to prison and now that they are free and saved they are the most dedicated evangelists and preachers ravenous for the fishing of men!
There is such a tremendous zeal found in those persons who are recent believers who have tasted of the heavenly calling and are walking in the light. Sometimes it is important for us (who have been in the faith for many years) to look through the eyes of the recently converted. For example, one day my son (at that point about a year and a half years old) and I were going outside for a walk and he was looking up at the sky and with a sigh of tremendous joy he points and says ?It?s BLUE!? and I got down to his level, turned and looked up at the sky for the first time all over again.

What’s our understanding of our salvation? What is our understanding of Jesus conquering death?taking away its sting; taking away it’s victory? One day some of us will be absent from the body and be present with the Lord. It is an immediate occurrence where the departed finds him or herself in a place of blissful comfort with the Lord. Fondly called Abraham’s bosom, it must be a place of tremendous comfort and no more physical pain?but is that it? Any believer reading this will say ?of course not? and explain that we will be worshiping the Lord for all eternity. That we will be in His very presence and our joy will be realized because He will wipe away all tears from our eyes and there will be no more death.
Perhaps, like cartoons, we will be in heaven sitting on poofy cloud playing a harp and singing to the Lord with golden haloes over our heads. Personally I’m not keen on that idea of heaven?clouds seem a bit too soft for my taste and I’m not a fan of Harp-only music?it strikes me as an instrument meant to be played with cellos or something.
Every so often I like to think about exactly what the Lord accomplished on his rescue mission here on earth.
