Pray for Jerry
who is going to the doctor today with a bit of concern. Pray that the
doctors have wisdom in dealing with his situation. Pray for Jane Gard
who finds her and her sister unemployed and facing great difficulties.
She also asks pray for her friendship with her buddy Tim. You can read
more of her prayer request here. Pray for David the JollyBlogger—although he seems to be doing better.
Pray for my assembly. Lastly, keep praying for my wife. Ever since she
has been taken off of the terbutaline she has been having
contractions—which is fine at this stage (37 weeks). The thing is that the
contractions have been hard and long and 3 to 4 minutes apart. Yes, we
went to the doctor and got sonograms and she’s not in labor. Basically
this baby’s coming is imminent and eagerly expected.

The top 5 heroes of all time?how am I supposed to write
about that? MCF is having another blog party and I?m supposed to bring
something that has an Archive flavor (quiet, not old and stuffy!). Trying this
after the Best Movie of All Time fiasco?
It bolsters my faith looking at the prophecies that Jesus fulfilled in
his sayings and actions while here on earth. His exactness, for
instance, of acquiring a donkey to ride into Jerusalem is astounding. I
find that my mind has a hard time wrapping around the miracles which
Jesus performed, sometimes stating them by habit but then when thinking
about it, feeling completely overwhelmed. A man blind from birth having
his eyes completely healed…almost as if they were recreated.
The heathen rages and the ethical atheist stand on a (supposed) moral
high ground showing how the God of the Bible is the cause of some of
the worse evils imaginable. They stand there pointing their fingers
saying that there is no God, there is no Christ, your faith is in vain.
You want us to believe? In the light of all this evil around us, fine,
show us your God. Show us then we’ll believe. Does the Lord have to
answer? Has He answered or how will He?
I can’t stand book reviews. Nah, that’s not right—I can’t stand
personal book reviews. Wait, that’s not right either…I can’t stand
personal book reviews which are so blindly biased that they ignore what
the author is saying and think that a book is nightmarishly bad because
they don’t agree with it. Okay, that sounds about right.
