Trial -tmp(Gen 3:9-13)

I have an idea why Adam and Eve hid yet even so I think it was futile. I mean, sure we have the whole benefit of seeing God work through history so we have some understanding of what He?s capable of?but so did Adam. He saw that a bunch of animals were made for the benefit of his naming (Gen 2:19). God created his wife and he acknowledged her and was bound to her. All that and still he hid from God?s presence.

Cultivator’s Wife -tmp(Genesis 2:18-25)

But before entering into the next scene I?m impressed by another problem in the midst of an amazing story. God recognizes the need for Adam not to be alone?an amazing thing in itself. It is God recognizing the need, not man, and it is God who puts into effect a plan for man to be complete and to recognize his need!

The Point of Genesis 1 -tmp(Gen 1)

So what does it all mean? How do those different interpretations of the Genesis days affect the reading of the text? How do we consider the passage in light of those interpretations?

My Kingdom Would Fight–How?

?Are you the King of the Jews?? asked Pilate (John 18:33). He was in the Praetorium and full of his own
authority while this bloodied Jew unsteadily stood there. Jesus asked if this
was an original idea or if he heard others talking about Him (John 18:34). Now Pilate dares Jesus to take a stand
against or with His people: ?Your own nation and the chief priests gave you
up?what have you done??

Why was the King of the Jews standing there, bloodied and defenseless? And
how would He answer? Would He shower theological fire to prove the man?s
futility? Would He summon a legion of fighting angels? And if we are His
servants, what does this tell us about the way we are to defend Christ in this
world?

Clinging to the Cross of Christ

Fine, a lot of Christians don?t believe Christ died on Friday. Even more Christians think that there shouldn?t be a special day marked out for remembering the Lord?everyday should be saturated with thanks giving and praise for what He has done. I applaud those who point out the pagan practices inherit in Easter versus the truth of the Lord?s crucifixion. It still saddens me that I?ve looked across several God-bloggers and have seen more focus on Terry Schiavo than Christ and what He did.

Don?t get me wrong?pointing out the World?s hypocrisy in this case is well and good?but this is a time of year where Christians should be waving the banner of the Crucified and now risen Christ. Here then are several links which point to Christ for introspection, reflection and encouragement.
