Scriptural patterns are so cool. Not that I have anything against floor patterns or fabric patterns, they?re pretty nice too. But the patterns in give you a peak at the author?s thought-flow of the passage.

New Poll: Today’s Darth Vader
The results are in from my Best Movie of All Time poll.
Although The Lord of the Rings: The Two
Towers came in a near second, no one really thought any of the options were
worthy of number one. In fact, after several conversations online and off, it
was brought to my embarrassed attention that my poll was woefully skewed by the
dreadful exclusion of The Princess Bride (I
can?t believe I don?t own it either). That being the case, I will back out from
the deep end of the pool, having adequately proven my complete lack of foresight.
This question comes from my dear brother in Christ, Doug
from Coffeeswirls. If Star Wars was released as a new series today?what would
the main Darth Vader type villain be like? I LOVED this question so I had to
put up the poll. Note that I will base my generalizations from current movie
culture in the hope that I will strike closer to the mark.
The Current State of Cooking
If you travel in and around the Queens area, you will be exposed to several different cooking styles. Some of these styles may be featured in some local eateries where one can spend a decent dollar to have a meal. Recently, I?ve noticed something odd happening in the non-commercial cooking community?people are splitting down cookery lines!
According to Romans 7, is Paul describing a pre-conversion experience
or a post-conversion experience? Why aren’t we perfect after being
justified and reckoning ourselves dead? Is there even a problem that we
should be aware of? What is a believers current relation to sin?
Is a dichotomous lifestyle applauded by Paul in Romans 7 (as in
Christian in the inside, but continually sinful in the flesh? What does
the flow of thought tell us?
Update: We worked out the study over in this section here and Romans 8.
Heresy Comes Softly
It?s pretty funny how easily heresy creeps in. Sure it might
take a while to come up with especially if it?s going to be really convincing.
You know, the mulling it over, making the new concept taste right, justifying
it in Scripture and convincing yourself. Yet, when it makes its first
appearance it does so in such a manner that the non-Berean ear may sit there
unaware, smiling and maybe even ?Amen?ing. To see it happen before your eyes is
outright scary.
