Linking Policy

I set up the BibleArchive to be a place where I could: 1)
put up my own Bible Notes; 2) put up links I’ve found on things I’m researching
thus making it easier for myself and others to find; 3) are Plymouth Brethren;
4) put up links to sites which I have found helpful; be it in their
understanding of Scripture, their point of view or data.

Therefore you might wonder why some sites are not on my
weblinks. You can contact me if you feel that a site should be added and I will
decide if I add the site. You might come across sites on my web links section
that I don’t agree with but they’re in some way helpful to me and I figured
helpful to you. You can contact me if you find that somehow the site has some
serious problems.

But I have always held this policy: I will not link to sites
of confessing Christians who bring a bad testimony to the Body of Christ in the
way they speak to others; be it friend, family, church affiliation or height on
the ecosystem. The basis for defining a bad testimony is left up to my discretion
but I will say this: embracing something that brings shame to the gospel is
high on my list as well as the way I see how a site treats other believers.

If you feel I removed you in error, feel free to contact me. We’ll discuss. God bless you.

Round The Sphere

I’m going to steal Rebecca’s idea and do a Round the Sphere post. I’ve been pretty busy lately due to a magazine redesign,
getting acclimated to a “new” assembly (I’ve preached there quite a bit and
it’s also my wife’s home assembly) since we moved out of NYC. I’ve also been
running around meeting new doctors and all that fun stuff you do after you move
and boxes are half empty. These links might be from within this week—they might
not. So here is some stuff that tickled either my funny bone, my gray matter, or my heart.

*su-ma?ri-quote (s?-mâ?r?-kw?t) n. 1.a summarized quotation 2. a paraphrase which is partial
towards quotation.

Chistian Carnival 127: Voltron Edition

Voltron is a gestalt robot made up of five smaller man-operated mechanoid lions. He is known as The Defender of the Universe. But, as the theme for this Christian Carnival he is the defender of the Blogosphere. Mind you, I arbitrarily put you into lions so don’t get upset if you’re not operating the Red Lion or if you secretly want to sit in the Blue Lion. All the Lions are really cool and so are their operators. So Ready to assemble! Activate interlocks! Dyna-therms connected. Infra-cells up; mega-thrusters are go! Let’s go voltron force!

Christian Carnival at Parableman

The Carnival is up at Jeremy’s site. He assigned each post a book of the Bible–and I gotta say: pretty helpful (even if some of the books had little to do with the post). Go check it out.

Slate’s David Plotz Reads the Bible

Saw this over at Better Bibles (thanks Wayne) and read through all of the posts to date. Mr. Plotz is a proud Jew (though he admits not a terribly observant one?that cracked me up) and is coming at the Bible (in its entirety) for the first time. Pretty interesting reading.
